Amelia von Alken is an adorable 5-6 month old German Shepherd (mix?) Amelia is such a darling and loving pupster. We just know that our Westside family has lots of potential adopters who would love nothing more than to add such a sweet and super affectionate young girl to their family.  She'll readily climb in your lap and give you those sweet puppy kisses. She has a medium-energy level and knows some of her basic commands like sit and paw and takes treats ever so gently.  This girl is well mannered on her walks and gets along beautifully with her new Westside furry friends, so much so that she is sharing space and playing nicely with several other dogs at the rescue.  As a bonus, it seems she might be cool with cats as she passed her initial cat testing.

Rescued from the Porterville animal shelter. Weight: 42 lbs
Amelia came from a foster home in Porterville. She she was found in an area with few strays. Her foster mom, who works at a spay and neuter clinic, said everyone loved Amelia. She is wonderful with kids and dogs. Through a non-profit organization who offers their help, she was flown in on a private plane to the Santa Monica Airport. What a lucky girl.
